Ambassador Committee
This committee would be charged with welcoming all new businesses to our area. Members of this committee would need to visit the new business owner/manager to make them aware of our chamber, make them aware of the services offered in our area, help them with networking, suggest they become members of our chamber, etc. Board members should be automatic members of this committee, though general members should be encouraged to join as a networking opportunity.
Major Events Committee
This committee would be charged with all scheduling, planning, and execution of major annual events hosted by our chamber each year. This committee might be in charge of the Annual Open House event, any future Deer Creek Forum events, future golf outings, etc. Board members should be automatic members of this committee, though high profile events like these would serve as great networking opportunities for new general members.
Community Services Committee
This committee would be charged with visiting and networking with area political figures, public service officials (police and fire), area homeowner’s associations, area business groups, etc. The leadership of this committee would need to actively communicate with the general membership any and all information relating to their work that might prove beneficial to themselves or other area businesses. In all, this committee might become the most active committee as our membership, and our group, strives to become the central clearinghouse for all information relating to the Deer Creek Community. Board members should be automatic members of this committee along with interested general members. This committee may not be a good fit for newer members as they may not have a full grasp on local issues facing the community.
Board of Directors
This group is charged with the general leadership functions of the Chamber as a whole. This group meets to set the future direction of the group, set budgets, and make strategic decisions on expenditures and future goals. Additionally, this group is charged with timely communication of events to the group and in the coordination of the 3 aforementioned committees listed above.
